1-Minute Melody Revision 3

  • Changed the instrument to a saxophone for new instrument.
  • Fixed up minor errors in the names of the cords.
  • Made it 1 minute.
The changes I did was using the new instrument to make the pattern correct and to finish off the melody.

1-Minute Melody Revision 2

  • I included a sound from SoundCloud and also the pictures because I forgot it last time.
  • I made changes to the middle and ending of the melody
  • I made the ending more smooth then just plain and boring.
I made changes to the middle of the melody because it was so quick for I lowered the speed and made it sound better.

Adding Harmony, Bass Line and Drum Set Pattern

I chose the cords because I thought they would sound smooth and clean and shouldn't sound anything less. The bass would make it more interesting and make the music more uplifting. The bass line and rhythm patterns were able to make the song have more of a beat to it.

16-bar melody

The form I used was through-composed form that means having a different melody and never repeats. The hardest part when I was doing this melody was having to figure out what notes I wanted and that makes it sound good. The thing I enjoyed most about this whole melody is when I finished and I heard my melody and it didn't sound that bad. The advice I would give to people for this project is to at least try you're best and see what you make at the end. Not everything has to be prefect.

Harmonize the First 8-Bar Melody

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Nicholas/Desktop/My_First_Project.wav

Chord is a combination of three or more pitches sounded simultaneously. The main Harmony in the song. Chord progression is a series of musical chords, or chord changes that "aims for a definite goal" of establishing (or contradicting) a tonality founded on a key, root or tonic chord. You choose your chord progression by starting off with something you like and easy for you to do. I would do something R&B because I like smooth music so I would put low notes.

First 8 Bar Melody

1) Nothing really inspired this composition I just played around with a couple of keys and notes and made a little song.

2) The hardest part of making this composition was putting the notes together and making them sound good because this was my first time.

3) I enjoyed finishing it because after I was done I replayed it and it sounded pretty good for my first time. I liked how I used this program to make a little song that I think I did pretty good on.

4) The advice I would give to the next person that's starting their composition is to try ALL the notes and tunes and see which one you like. Don't just one use many and make it sound great or at least good.
